Part A: The Student
Red Group: Carol Imani, Suzan Hebson, Ruth Bass, and Craig Ahern
One challenge for an online learning community is to get the participants to respond to each other and collaborate online. Moodle is an excellent online collaboration software program to accomplish this task. Learning takes place among each learner when questions can be asked and answered among peers. Peers can help clarify misconceptions students have as they are working online alone. Collaboration is also an important part of learning since students asking questions concerning topics can confirm their impressions or differentiate their meaning with other peers.

Orange Group: Euchay Horsman, Craig Ahern, Ruth Bass, Suzan Hebson
A challenge for an online teacher is to craft higher order questions which focuses students' attention on particular activities. The cognitive domain of Bloom's Taxonomy is a particular type of questioning allowing Instructors to ask questions pertaining to integration, syntheses, evaluation instead of comprehension questions.

Moodle Online Assessments
Part A: Assessments
A challenge in online learning is to find ways to measure how students learn. An online instructor can ask the following: "How will the instructor know the online students have learned what needs to be learned? How can an instructor give an exam to online students?". Quizzes and tests are perhaps the most common way to measure student growth. By using Moodle technology, we can implement quizzes and exams in an online format.
Part B: Using Test Quizzes and Surveys
Included in my online classes are quizzes to help students slow down their pace and read thoroughly important concepts and emphasize critical details. Sometimes I designed the quizzes using the highest score received method. This allows students to take the quiz until they have mastered the material.
Sometimes I'm looking to see if my students comprehended the material. At these times, I want to know if they understand what they read, can explain what they read and apply what they have learned.
Part C: Example Quiz
For the module four activity I chose an article on whether technology makes student's effective learners. I created a reading quiz based on this article.
